NEW! Secondhand Bookshop at Lechlade Saturday 29th September

Our second trial bookshop at the New Inn, Lechlade is on Saturday 29 Sept 2018 (see News Item below)

NEW! Professional Fundraiser required

The Cotswold Canals Trust is looking to appoint a Professional Fundraiser. Personable with high standing, they will have existing excellent personal contacts which will enable them to reach major business leaders and benefactors quickly on our behalf. They will have the track record and motivation to confidently raise significant additional funding for a unique, exciting multi-faceted project, Stroudwater Navigation Connected (SNC), centred on the restoration of 4 miles of canal, which has received a substantial Heritage Lottery Fund grant. UPDATED: CCT Secondhand Bookshop to open at Lechlade

The CCT Secondhand Bookshop will open at Lechlade, in the New Inn on the Market Square, for two Sale Days as a trial assessment of the area's potential for a more regular attendance. The first trial Open Day was on Saturday, 18 August with the second on Saturday, 29 September 2018.
Trust Members and Volunteers are welcome to drop in any time between 10am and 4pm. Please encourage family and friends to come.
We have massive stocks of books, records and jigsaws at the shop at Brimscombe Port and another outlet would be easily supplied and a tremendous boost to CCT funds.
We look forward to seeing many of you, particularly those who find Stroud a bit too far to attend. Further details are here:

INFO: Administrative Assistant required at Western Depot

The Western Depot at Eastington require the help of an Administrative Assistant.

The duties would be:-
to keep the paperwork up to date, ordering materials and plant as and when required and
assist the Depot Manager in the efficient running of the Office and Depot.
Duties would on a Monday and Wednesday, with times flexible - as a guide 9am to 4pm
Basic computer skills would be an advantage but not essential.
Remuneration is in the form of copious quantities of tea/coffee and biscuits as required. Also free parking.

For Health & Safety and Insurance reasons, Volunteer's Training & Competences records are maintained within Connect to ensure that only suitably trained or qualified volunteers use certain equipment.

If you possess a recognised qualification to operate specific machinery - e.g. chainsaws, brush cutters etc - please let me know and forward a copy of the appropriate certificate to

The Cotswold Canals Trust is committed to continual improvement of our data management procedures to protect the privacy of those we work with and those that support us. This responsibility applies to all persons within the organisation that process personal data, under the guidance of CCT's Data Protection Group.
