TODAY! Goughs Orchard Feed Open Day - Saturday 21st July

As part of this year’s Stroud Festival of Nature, Cotswold Canals Trust is holding an Open Day at Goughs Orchard Lock on Saturday 21st July at 10:30am to 12:30pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The event will focus on the innovative solution to supplying water to the newly restored canal through Stroud. The project has been designed by, and carried out, entirely by Volunteers.

TODAY! Used Book Shop at the Stroud Show- Saturday 21st July

Alan and Anna Watts need additional volunteers to help in setting up and taking down a Book Shop Marquee at the Stroud Show in Stratford Park on Saturday 21st July.

NEW! Trading Director Vacancies

The CCT Trust Council is seeking to appoint 3 new Directors to the Board of the Cotswold Canals Trust (Trading) Company.

The Trading Company is 100% owned by the Trust, and all profits from the Company are donated to the Trust free of tax.
The areas of The Trust covered by the Trading Company are Boat Trips, Visitor Centre Shops, Log Sales and the sale of Corporate & Commemorative CCT canalside benches.

We are looking for Volunteers, ideally familiar with one of the above areas, to monitor, guide and provide support for our trading activities.
The commitment is to up to 4 daytime meetings per year – with email contact & ad-hoc meetings when necessary.

The Cotswold Canals Trust is committed to continual improvement of our data management procedures to protect the privacy of those we work with and those that support us. This responsibility applies to all persons within the organisation that process personal data, under the guidance of CCT's Data Protection Group.

But don't forget, as volunteers, your data matters too! You can find out more information on your personal rights from the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) here -

For Health & Safety and Insurance reasons, Volunteer's Training & Competences records are maintained within Connect to ensure that only suitably trained or qualified volunteers use certain equipment.

If you possess a recognised qualification to operate specific machinery - e.g. chainsaws, brush cutters etc - please let me know and forward a copy of the appropriate certificate to
